The agreed system will combine various power generation systems and will be implemented in the fleet of Toyota trucks acquired by 7-Eleven in Japan for distribution and also in the chain's stores. In this way, solar energy generators and a fixed hydrogen generator powered by a rechargeable fuel cell specially designed for the automotive industry will work simultaneously in the transport vehicles. In addition, the two brands will initiate joint studies for better energy efficiency.
On the other hand, the possibility that 7-Eleven stores also have hydrogen cell generators is being considered, so it will be installed in stores a fixed system of rechargeable batteries (developed from rechargeable automotive batteries) designed to function as an emergency power source in case of need or catastrophe.
The agreement between Toyota and 7-Eleven have been possible because both multinationals share the philosophy of "contributing to the achievement of a low-carbon society in the future." However, after the signing of the agreement, it has not been revealed when the project will begin to be launched, although Toyota has practically ready the first large-tonnage trucks powered by hydrogen batteries.
The firm of the agreement between the two Japanese companies coincides with the launch of a new promotional campaign for electric parts, spare parts and accessories on recambiosdelcamion.com. with especially important offers on 7-pole serpentine electrical cables, with discounts of up to 40%, from leading manufacturers such as Aspöck. The electrical coils in promotion also include ABS/ESB electrical cables and lighting cables of types S and N.
