Pilots have historically been the red rear lights of vehicles that are used to auxiliaryly indicate some type of situation (braking) or simply signal the presence of the truck or trailer. Today, automotive pilots are something more a spare part or accessory with a red light, since the arrival of design and new technologies has revolutionized the product.
