The Civil Guard will pass an ITV to the trucks in the middle of the road
Truck drivers will have to keep their trucks, their spare parts and their spare parts more up to date than ever, because the Civil Guard will be able to pass an ITV on their vehicles randomly on the road. The new inspection campaign, which will also affect cargo, will begin in the coming months.
The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) will launch a specific plan throughout this year that will equip the Civil Guard to carry out technical inspections in a random to trucks, industrial vehicles and vans while are in full circulation. The inspections, identical to the ITV, and which the DGT calls "ITV on the road" will be carried out by specific vehicles of the Traffic Association of the Civil Guard equipped with the necessary material to make a thorough and technical inspection of the state of the vehicle, its tires and cargo that will go far beyond current visual inspections carried out by agents.
The new regulation will force truck drivers and professionals in the road transport sector to have your vehicle pointed more than ever, so you should keep vehicle maintenance and spare parts up-to-date and spare parts for them.
