IVECO will increase the production of less polluting gas-powered trucks

The Stralis NP is a true "monster" of gas-powered trucks because it develops a power of 400 hp, 60 hp more than its main rival, manufactured by the Swedish brand Scania. The Stralis has autonomy to travel 1,500 kilometers and is equipped with an automated transmission. But IVECO still has an ace up its sleeve: the Z prototype (recently presented), a futuristic truck powered by biomethane and practically capable of operating autonomously. The Z prototype is already equipped with a three-dimensional type GPS system that analyzes the kilometer of road ahead of the driver and is capable of changing gear and slowing down automatically if necessary and does not allow the steering wheel to be used if the vehicle is going to leave its lane. And in the not too distant future, trucks and trailers (even different brands) will be able to communicate with each other.  

The use of gas as fuel reduces polluting emissions by between 10% and 15% and has an advantage over engines powered by electric batteries: electric ones are not capable of moving 40 tons of cargo Long distance. The weak point of the Stralis NP is that its cost is 40% higher than that of a truck of similar power powered by a diesel engine but, as compensation, it saves on costs.
