Increases the fleet of trucks that run on natural gas as a replacement for diesel

Nov. 25, 2017
The end of the era of solid fuels seems near and the automotive industry is already looking for spare parts for them. The supply of alternatives is still limited but is continually on the rise. The clearest example is Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which seems the logical replacement for diesel because electric motors still have to overcome the handicap of autonomy. In this context, some truck manufacturers, such as Iveco, are betting heavily on LNG because they reduce polluting emissions (CO2 and NOx). This ecological strategy has allowed the Italian brand to recently close supply agreements for large fleets of the Stralis, a model for which there are continuous promotions of spare parts and spare parts at spare parts of the truck.

At recambiosdelcamion.com we ask ourselves. Is LNG the replacementin the short term for fuels or are they hydrogen fuel cells? This is the great technological debate facing the large manufacturers of industrial vehicles and road transport and whose resolution will mark the future of the truck spare parts sector. The one who seems to have it clear with LNGis the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), which has defined this form of propulsion as the best ecologicalalternative for transport ground transportation of goods on long-distance journeys. The number of trucks that run on LNG continues to grow in Europe and the BMVIpredicts that this fuel will prevail as the best solution in the next 10 or 15 years.

IVECOis one of those brands that has always shown its weakness for LNG. In fact, the firm was one of the first to see the potential of natural gas as a fuel for trucks back in 1991. This strategic commitment has given way to the development of a wide range of light commercial and heavy transport vehicles and propelled trucks. by liquefied natural gas. Since then, IVECO has sold more than 22,000 vehicles that already use this fuel throughout the world.

One of the stars of natural gas-powered trucks is precisely an IVECO: the Stralis Natural Power (NP), which is capable of reducing CO2 emissions by 10% compared to a diesel engine. Depending on the composition of the gas, the reduction of polluting substances is radical: up to 95% if the formula contains biomethane. The percentage of NOx emission in a Stralis NP is also 50% lower than that of diesel on long-distance routes.  LNG also reduces the noise level of the engine by half, which makes it very compatible with deliveries and distribution in urban areas.

Such is the success and reliability of the Stralis NP, that IVECO has just signed the largest supply agreement in its history with the Belgian transport and logistics giant, Jost Group, by which 500 natural gas trucks will be added to the operator's international fleet, replacing diesel from the pre-Euro Vi group, up to five years old. The first 150 trucks of the order will already be on the road next year and the rest will be incorporated progressively until 2020. The success of the Stralis NP is shared by recambiosdelcamion.com which incorporates into its catalog permanent offers, several references in truck parts, accessoriesand spare parts for this model, with great discounts. Like the side indicators, with two and three holes, which have a discount of up to 57%, or the reflective pilot lights in amber color from the Vignal brand, reduced to 37 %..
