We have recently added Facet fuel pumps to our online catalogue. In this article we explain everything about this excellent brand of electronic pumps and we present the different pumps that you can find in our online store. We also talk about its installation and maintenance.

Facet is a registered trademark of Motor Components. Since 1950, this company, located in the city of Elmira, in the state of New York, has designed and manufactured electronic fuel pumps. That is why its slogan is “We move fuel”, we move fuel.
Since then, the Facet brand has become one of the best known in the industry of electronic priming fuel pumps, being the most used in vehicles of all kinds. We can find Facet fuel pumps in automobiles, agricultural, construction and utility vehicles, generators, military vehicles, boats, racing vehicles, truck cooling systems and many others.
They have five different models: Facet Gold-Flo, Facet Cube, Facet Posi-Flo, Facet Dura-Lift and Facet High Pressure.
These pumps significantly reduce vapor lock in a self-regulating manner, allowing constant, smooth and reliable fuel delivery, even in the worst conditions, such as hot weather or at high altitudes.
They are compatible with gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, alcohol-based fuel and fuel additives.
With no electrical contacts, bearings or diaphragms to wear out or fatigue with use, Facet electronic fuel pumps have four to five times the life of electric fuel pumps.
Compared to other electronic fuel pumps, they are the most reliable, with Facet pumps having a lifespan of almost twice that of other electronic fuel pumps available on the market.
Facet electronic fuel pumps can work in a temperature range that goes from -24°C to 80°C.
It is an improved version of its predecessor, the Facet Interrupter, and is of the Solid State type and cylindrical in shape.
It incorporates an anti-siphon valve, with positive closure. It is self-priming and self-regulating. It has a replaceable filter of 74 microns and a magnet that collects possible metal particles.
It has a consumption of 1.6 amps on average. It is available in 12V and 24V models.
Depending on the model, it can supply a fuel flow of between 20 and 45 gallons per hour (1.26 – 2.84 liters per minute), at a pressure that varies depending on the model between a minimum of 2.5 PSI and a maximum of 8 PSI (0.17 to 0.55 bar pressure) and at a height of 12 to 24 inches (30 to 60 centimeters).
Another solid-state electronic fuel pump, this one cubical, with somewhat different performance ranges than the previous one.
Like the Gold-Flo, it draws 1.6 amps on average. It is also available in 12V and 24V models.
Depending on the model, it can supply a fuel flow of between 6 and 50 gallons per hour (0.37 – 3.15 liters per minute), at a pressure that varies depending on the model between a minimum of 1 PSI and a maximum of 15 PSI (0.07 to 1.03 bar pressure) and at a height of 12 to 84 inches (30 centimeters to 2.13 meters).
It is only available in 12 V. It incorporates an internal 3.5 amp fuse. It has an average consumption of 1.5 amps and is the lightest and most compact in the Facet range.
Depending on the model, it can supply a fuel flow of between 23 and 40 gallons per hour (1.45 – 2.52 liters per minute), at a pressure that varies depending on the model between a minimum of 1.5 PSI and a maximum of 10 PSI (0.10 to 0.68 bar pressure) and at a height of 12 inches (30 centimeters).
It has a transparent casing that allows you to control the cleaning of the stainless steel filter that it incorporates. It has an average consumption of 1.4 amps
Depending on the model, it can supply a fuel flow of between 33 and 50 gallons per hour (2.08 – 3.15 liters per minute), at a pressure that varies depending on the model between a minimum of 4 PSI and a maximum of 15 PSI (0.28 to 1.03 bar pressure) and at a height of 10 feet (3.05 meters).
Facet electronic fuel pumps are made to be very easy to install. All incorporate a mounting plate for two bolts that ensures a firm hold in the chosen place for installation.
They should always be installed close to the fuel tank, no more than 12 inches (30 centimeters) from it, for best pumping results. Also note that they must be mounted below the fuel level.
The fuel outlet of the pump should always be at the top, and the inlet at the bottom, to eliminate vapor lock problems.
Facet recommends installing a three-amp fuse to protect the installation.
In addition to the different models of each of the Facet pump ranges, in our online store you will also find the brand's assembly fittings and filters to assemble and maintain the pumps.
