Can I use this starter motor on the CAT 3508BB engine instead OEM CAT starter 207-1556. I have on the same engine Delco Remy starter model: 10478998 but I don't know which model number is now instead of this which I have. Does 1990453 replacing 10478998?

The Remy starters 10478998 and 1990453 are almost the same, but not interchangeable.
The difference is the bendix they use. 1990453 has a 12-tooth bendix (46mm diameter) and 10478998 has an 11-tooth bendix (56mm diameter).
If you change the bendix you can use it instead of the other reference.
