Showa Best is a powerful business group resulting from the merger between the Japanese latex giant Showa and the American company Best, which once had the largest examination glove manufacturing plant in the world.
The two original companies run parallel paths. The original and small factory of Showa was founded in Japan in 1954 by Akio Tanaka, the inventor of the PVC glove. Three years ago, in 1951 Neil Tillotson (the discoverer that the use of polymers hardened and provided other properties to materials such as rubber latex) had opened his factory in the United States. In 2007 Showa acquires Best. Showa Best is specialized in the manufacture of all types of gloves, and has a specific catalog for flexible, resistant, protective and long-lasting gloves for the automotive industry.
