The future parts and spare parts plant will start operating in 2020 and will supply 70% of the products to Renault and the remaining 30% to Renault. To avoid the closure of the factory (with which the property had been threatened) the workers have had to accept a 30% cut in salary, but the cut will affect all job categories equally. In addition, the brand will distribute among the workers a compensation bonus equivalent to 3.5 times the amount that will no longer be received (for example, if an employee loses 10,000 euros, he will be compensated with 35,000 euros). Initially, the company only wanted to compensate with 2.5 times.
The drop in manufacturing, demand and sales of the Nissan NT400 truck (which is assembled in Ávila) and the unviability of the factory to produce the NT 500 model has caused a surplus of staff to accumulate until the end of the production of the model (the last one to be made in the plant) in 2019. This aspect will be resolved by opening an ERTE (a file of temporary regulation of employment) through which the entire workforce will pass) to which a complement of up to 100% of the salary will be added. Those who do not accept the ERTE will be able to take advantage of an incentivized leave plan of 50 days per year worked.
The agreement in Ávila between Nissan, Renault and the workforce coincides with the first offers summer of recambiosdelcamion.com that start with discounts of 22% in the amber side light of Vignal; 66% in the r300 auxiliary mirror for DAF; 55% in the high visibility vest; and 51% in the replacement of the main mirror for MAN.
